From morning through night, there is no shortage of Independence Day fun for you and the family to get into. Let's party like it's 1776! We the party people are here to give you some of the best places to find fireworks and fun around Atlanta.
Dunwoody 4. Juli Parade
Love a parade? Who doesn't?! Come out to Dunwoody for the Largest 4th Of July Parade In Georgia to see marching bands, floats, clowns, local celebrities, and more! The parade starts at 9 a.m. and is a two-mile route that starts at the intersection of Mount Vernon and Jett Ferry Road and proceeds west to Dunwoody Village near Village Burger. The procession typically takes about an hour and is followed by post-parade activities including food and entertainment, awards for best floats, antique cars, military vehicles, animal units, musical groups, themed characters and cheerleading teams. Last year the parade attracted over 2,500 participants and 32,000 spectators.

Peachtree Road Race
Held annually on the 4th of July, the Peachtree Road Race is the largest running event in the U.S. and the world's largest 10K. Celebrating its 54th year, the Peachtree Road Race is projected to have 60,000 participants with runners and walkers as young as 10 years old. This Atlanta tradition starts in Buckhead near Lenox Square Mall and ends in Piedmont Park. The race will begin in waves starting at 6:45 a.m. and will be televised on the NBC Sports Network, with live coverage from local news and radio stations as well. Spectators can also watch from the sidelines at various mile markers to cheer on runners and walkers.
Stars and Stripes Celebration
Have an intimate evening under the stars as the skies above the King and Queen buildings in Sandy Springs Light Up with fireworks! Pack a picnic and blanket and plan to sway along to live music while enjoying the light show. This event takes place on the Concourse Corporate Center lawn. Live music will start at 7:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

Centennial Olympic Park
Food trucks and fireworks - what more could you want? Grab your tickets and camp out for the Largest Fireworks Show in the Southeast on July 1st. Gates open at 7 p.m., so you'll have time to enjoy your family cookout during the day before ending your celebrations with a bang! Fireworks are set to start at 9:45 p.m. and general admission is only $10.
Home of the Brave(s)
Celebrate America's birthday while enjoying America's favorite pastime! The Atlanta Braves will take on the Miami Marlins on July 1st and 2nd. Buy yourself some peanuts and cracker jacks as you root, root, root for the home team. The ol' ballgame starts at 4:10pm on Saturday and 1:35pm on Sunday.
Stone Mountain
Every year, Stone Mountain Park puts together an amazing Fourth of July celebration worthy of all the rants and raves. It was voted "Best Place to See Fireworks in Atlanta" by the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, a "Must-See Fireworks Show" by USA Today, and one of Reader's Digests' picks for "America's Most Spectacular Fourth of July Fireworks." This year's event includes a drone and laser show and a patriotic fireworks finale. The best part is that this experience is available before and beyond the Fourth of July. Buy attraction passes and see what all the hype is about from July 1-5!
